Our youth group at Trinity is composed of the Senior high and the “tweeners”. Our Senior high meet in the library at 9:45am on Sunday morning. This year they are planning a beach trip.
The “tweeners” class is preparing for confirmation in February 2006. This is one the most important jobs our church and pastor has to accomplish because confirmation is at the heart of faith. This is a collection of Sunday morning classes(February through April) and special outings (including an overnight retreat) that presents the basics of faith to these budding youth. This effort is structured to appeal to 6th and 7th graders. At the end of the classes, retreats and outings the youth is given a choice of making a profession of faith in front of the church, baptism (if baptism has not already taken place) and taking vows of membership. This also gels our upcoming youth group together.
