What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. Web sites will feature the orange RSS button or an orange XML button to indicate availability. Our RSS feed provides summaries of news and podcasts recently added to Holston.org. Using a news reader you can quickly read or listen to stories and podcasts. By subscribing, your news reader program notifies you automatically when something new has been added to the site so that you don't have to keep checking for new information.
How to Start Using RSS Feeds
Basically, the first thing you need is something called a News Reader. Some browsers can automatically read an RSS feed page and news reader programs can also be downloaded online. When you find an RSS feed you can right click on the link to "copy the shortcut" and then paste it into a "new feed" in your news reader.
