Sammie Lynn Puett

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Sammie Lynn Puett, 65, was struck by a car and killed on Oct. 11, 2001, in Arlington, Texas, while attending a national meeting of her sorority, Delta Delta Delta. She was a current member of The Legacy of Commitment Steering Committee and chairperson of the Knoxville District pensions campaign. She was immediate past president of the Holston Conference Foundation and former
president of Asbury Centers. Puett was member of Fountain City UMC, Knoxville.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene Puett. Funeral services were held Oct. 15 Fountain City UMC with the Rev. P.L. Rowlett officiating. Graveside services were conducted Oct. 16 at Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Fountain City UMC Programs, including the Edith Scandlyn Special Music Fund, or to the charitable organization of your choice.
