Off to the Holy Land
Well, I will be departing on a Holy Land Pilgrimage this Monday, January 23rd. It will be my first time going to the Land where Jesus walked. I am excited, especially because I will be with some new ordinands who will get to experience this great land early in their ministry. I am told it will make a difference in how one preaches after being in that land. I look forward to being able to stand in some of those places I have read about in the Bible and just close my eyes and imagine that I am there with the Lord while he may have watched the fishermen toil in the Sea of Galilee. I believe it will be a time of spiritual refreshing, reflection and growth. I ask that you be in prayer for us while we are there and that I will not only see where Jesus has walked but where he is walking today.

May you have a safe journey and inspiring and educational trip, Bishop Swanson, and may God's love and Christ's presence be with you always and in all things.

I think it is a great program your conference has to offer a trip to the Holy Land to new ordinands! I hope the trip goes well and all are blessed in the experience.
