TOP STORY: Get ready for Annual Conference

The 2007 session of the Holston Annual Conference will be held June 10-13 at Lake Junaluska, N.C. Clergy and lay representatives attending the event should remember to:

• Bring peanut butter. The Young Adult Ministry Team will be collecting peanut butter to distribute to area food pantries.
  
  
• Bring your church's offerings. Two offerings will be collected at Annual Conference: one for Brazil, and one for Change for Children.
  
  
• Read your "Book of Reports." Mailed to all members of the Annual Conference, the "Book of Reports" contains vital information about this year's election process.
  
  
• Make note of this schedule change. On Monday, the Laity Session will be held at 8:30 a.m. at Stuart Auditorium. The Clergy Session will be held at 9 a.m. at Shackford Hall. (This change is NOT reflected in the "Book of Reports.")

Great moments in UM history: New online audio

It's now possible to hear United Methodist history as it happened, thanks to a new online tool developed through the Historical Audio Digitization Project from United Methodist Communications and the United Methodist Commission on Archives and History. The audio collection includes more than 300 programs, compiled by sifting through hundreds of tapes that mostly had been gathering dust across the church.
