Flood cleanup at Greeneville school

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — When Holston Home for Children began signing up volunteers for flood cleanup at Camp Creek Elementary last month, nearly half of the children in residence at the home’s Greeneville campus were ready to go. So on Aug. 20, thirty youth from Holston helped get the school ready for opening day by washing windows, picking up trash and moving equipment. “This is a wonderful time for the boys to be able to give back to the community,” said the Rev. Katherine White, Holston Home director of spiritual life. “It’s a good lesson to learn that we are all part of one family.”
