Morristown District Church Burns

BAILEYTON, Tenn.– Firefighters attempt to save Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church from a blazing fire on June 5. The historic church "burned pretty much to the ground," said Morristown District Superintendent Richard Patterson, "except for the church bell and one vase they could find in the ashes."

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with arson in connection with the fire. More news will be provided in the next issue of The Call.
