Retired adults are invited to participate in the first Holston Conference Older Adult Mission Trip, scheduled Oct. 7-11 in southwest Virginia.

Participants are encouraged to bring their RVs, campers or tents and park beside New River at Camp Dickenson in Fries, Va.

"We will enjoy camping in the beauty of the fall colors and work during the day at nearby Door of Heaven, the newly constructed Hispanic church in Galax, Va.," organizers said.

Volunteer laborers will be completing indoor painting and finishing work. For persons without camping equipment, a limited number of spaces are available in the Farmhouse at Camp Dickenson. Costs range from $5.50 per person per night at the Farmhouse to $10 per night for full hook-up sites with 50-AMP service.

Painting and other construction supplies will be provided. Register no later than Oct. 1 by contacting the Office of Connectional Ministries in Knoxville at (865) 690-4080.
