GALAX, Va. – Camp Dickenson, Holston Conference, United Methodist Camp, seeks a
full time Director. Camp Dickenson is a 500+ acre site located on the New River, near Fries, Va. It is one of four camps sponsored by the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church. Camp Dickenson currently serves approximately 530 campers in its summer ministry, and hosts retreat groups on a year round basis. The director oversees the entire camp ministry including: summer program coordination, development and oversight; recruiting and training summer camp staff; supervision of property manager, office manager, seasonal kitchen staff, and seasonal program staff; maintaining annual operating budget. Candidates must have Christian faith consistent with standards and beliefs of the United Methodist Church. Bachelor's degree and certifications in related areas desired. Open to laity or clergy.
