Big Stone Gap: Last year, when missionary Nancy Hobbs received dolls to give to children for Christmas, she asked seamstress Arlene Spurlock to make clothes for the "naked" ones. This year, Spurlock went the second mile. "Her generous spirit caused her to buy dolls throughout the year," says Hobbs, "and if they needed clothes, she made them." Total dolls donated and dressed: 60.
