Congregations Unite to Rebuild Fire-Destroyed Church

At least 20 Holston churches are helping a Morristown District congregation raise enough money to rebuild after a fire burned the church to the ground on June 5. Churches in the Greene County area and beyond are supporting the Sulphur Springs UMC Fundraiser Barbecue, held 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 25 at Baileyton Elementary School in Baileyton, Tenn. Several congregations are making cash donations or supplying items for an auction. To attend the barbecue, take Exit 36 off Interstate 81 and follow the signs to the school. For information, call Dan Duggar at (423) 639-8209.

Churches Get Big Breaks on Computer Products

Since its launch two years ago, United Methodist Communications’ online computer store has saved the denomination more than $8 million in Microsoft software alone. Now, with the additions of Adobe, Macromedia and MediaShout products to TechShop, churches can save between 20 to 80 percent on a wide range of computer products. For more information, email TechShop or click here.
