From District Roundup
Wytheville: The Wesley Foundation at Radford University hopes that Valentine's Day flowers will help them raise money for tsunami victims. Throughout the month of February, Radford City Florist is donating 10 percent of sales generated by the Wesley Foundation to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). Director Martee Buchanan says that 3,500 postcards were sent to alumni, parents, and campus mailboxes. Now, about 20 Wesley Foundation students are on standby to help the florist deliver flowers, balloons, plants or candy on Feb. 13 and 14. Participants are encouraged to pre-order flowers in February for March, April and May, too. To help the Wesley Foundation, call 1-800-999-3831 and mention code "UMC".
