Tazewell: While undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer, Marie Roberts of Burkes Garden UMC started wearing a hat to church. In a show of support for the beloved parishioner, other ladies in the church started wearing hats to Sunday worship, too. Pastor Rodney Lawson says a contingency of women brought their head gear to church all summer long, just in case Roberts felt well enough to come.
