Mission & Ministry Wish List
Christmas is an opportune time to make wish lists for the things we need, but these 21 missions and ministries cherish your gifts all year long. Keep this list handy and refer to it whenever a group in your church seeks a new project. The alphabetized list includes a variety of opportunities, appropriate for children and youth as well as adults.
Alton Park Empowerment Ministry
Chattanooga District
- 10 Webster pocket-size dictionaries (the more entries, the better)
- Art supplies (magic markers, modeling clay, finger paints, and collage materials such as feathers, buttons, seeds, and ribbon)
- New clothing of all sizes
- New (or gently used) dolls, toy trucks, and toy cars
- New elementary science kits (magnetism, chemistry, electricity, etc.)
- Scholarships for student transportation ($9 per week or $35 per month)

- Lunch sponsors for 2007 Summer Literacy Academy

Big Stone Gap District Community & Renewal Project
- Books for ages toddler to 9

- 3 skeins of homespun yarn to make prayer shawls
- Clean, gently worn clothes (sizes XXL and larger) for thrift stores
- $25 to send a child to VBS Day Camp
- 1 case of toilet tissue for camp
- Regulation soccer ball and basketball
- 600 packets each of carrot, beet, squash, bell pepper, okra, melon, and other vegetable and fruit seeds
- 225 pounds each of seed corn and beans (needed by April 10)
- 4 people to spend 3 hours packaging seeds in mid-April
- Ruled filler paper and other school supplies (needed year-round, but especially in August and January)
- 4 large, plastic storage bins with tight-fitting lids
