Know a young person with a call to fulltime ministry?

During the first weekend of Resurrection, more than 400 youth and adults indicated they felt a call to full-time ministry. In March, the conference is offering a special event for all high-school students and young adults who feel they’ve received that call. “Discovery,” scheduled March 26-28 at Camp Wesley Woods, is a weekend gathering including workshops, fellowship and prayer. For more information, download a brochure, e-mail the youth ministry office , or call (423) 928-2156.

From the lost & found department: Watches and a wallet

When 6,000 youth and leaders left Resurrection last weekend, they left behind a box full of lost-and-found items. If someone in your youth group lost a watch or wallet in Gatlinburg Jan. 16-18, call the conference office at (865) 690-4080 and leave a message for Anne Travis. Be prepared to describe the missing item.

Move over, Michael: Here come Aiden and Jaden

For the first time in more than a decade, the year’s most popular baby name for boys is not Biblical, according to a recent report from BabyNames.com. Names like Michael, Matthew, and Jacob have been the rage for years, but in 2003 the top three boys’ names were Aiden, Jaden and Caden.
