Clergy Appreciation Month: Do anything special?

Many Holston ministers were honored with special gifts or recognition for “Clergy Appreciation Month” in October. Here’s what one Oak Ridge District congregation did for their pastor:

“During our announcement time in the worship service our lay leader said that he had a ‘concern’ and wanted me to join him at the front of the altar. He then presented me with a bookstore gift certificate for Clergy Appreciation Month. That was nice to be remembered, and other kind words were said by others at the close of service.”

– Rev. James Titcombe, pastor at Bethel-Grigsby Chapel UMC.
