Celebrating ‘Scout Sunday’? Here’s your worship model

The United Methodist Church observes “Scouting Ministry Sunday” on the second Sunday of February or March. If you want to see “Interpreter” magazine’s worship model for Scout Sunday, click here. By the way, “Interpreter” offers new worship service outlines – with original prayers, sermon notes and ideas – each week at www.interpretermagazine.org. The ideas are generated by seminary students.

Comments from our readers: About those quotes

“I very much look forward to your ‘Who Said That?’ section at the end [of News Briefs]. Even (especially) when I don’t agree with the statement, I am always allowed to think and explore different views … Some of your quotes may not be pleasantly received in this part of the country, so I appreciate your stepping out and truth-telling or at least challenging.

–The Rev. Amy Cook-Alcorn, Gray UMC, Johnson City District
