Free: DVD to expand your church's scouting ministry
A free DVD to help churches develop or expand their scouting ministries is available from United Methodist Men. "United Methodist Scouting Ministries: Introductory Training for Church and Scouting Professionals and Volunteers" is a 75-minute video. Rural churches: Grants available for building projects
Applications are currently available for the Renfro Trust Fund grants. In 2006, Holston Conference received seven of 11 Renfro grants awarded in the Southeastern Jurisdiction. See the Feb. 23 edition of The Call for a complete report.

Wanted: Help for schools in Liberia
Operation Classroom of Holston is working to upgrade 120 United Methodist schools in Liberia. Funds are needed for scholarships as well as to repair structural damage caused by civil fighting in 2004. For information about how your church group can help, write Dan Kelly.

Large Church Conference in Chattanooga
The registration deadline for the Large Church Conference has been eliminated. Registrations will be accepted up until the time of the event, which will be held March 7-10 at First-Centenary UMC and Christ UMC in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Speakers who will appear include Leonard Sweet ("Building the Church of Tomorrow") and Bishop James Swanson ("How to Grow a Church").
